1st Inning
Batting first, Ind set Sri a target of 391 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Virat Kohli and Shibman Gill played a smoky innings for India. Virat Kohli scored 166 off 110 balls and Shubman Gill scored 116 off 97 balls while Rohit Sharma scored 42 off 49 balls and Sheryas Iyar scored 28 off 32 balls.
In the first innings, the Sri Lankan bowlers could not control the Indian batsmen. Kasun Rajhita and Lahiru Kumara took two wickets each for India while Chamika Karunaratne took one wicket.
2nd Inning
In the second innings, Sri Lanka could not even get close to India's target of 391 runs and scored only 73 runs for the loss of 10 wickets.
Only three Sri Lankan batsmen managed to reach double figures. Nuwanidu Fernando scored 19 off 27 balls, Dasun Shanaka scored 11 off 26 balls and Kasun Rajhita scored 13 off 19 balls.
Mohammad Siraj was the best bowler for India and took 4 wickets while Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav dismissed two Sri Lankan players each.
